A 90-minute online event, incorporating a presentation, followed by an open Q and A session.
Course Content includes:
- Common myths and misconceptions about weight loss in midlife
- How metabolism changes over time
- How hormonal changes influence appetite, muscle mass and fat storage
- How underlying medical issues may be at fault
- Role of stress, sleep, lifestyle and environment
- How your thinking can sabotage your efforts
- Overview of medical interventions such as injectables like Ozempic
- What should you do next?
Intended Outcomes:
- To educate about maintaining a healthy weight at every age
- To learn how hormonal transitions, such as andropause, perimenopause and menopause can have an impact on metabolism
- To encourage discussion with their own GP about their overweight-related health issues
- To encourage a different, more tailored and sustainable approach to a healthy weight.
